On April 1, 2022, the Indemnity PPO Plan for Medicare enrollees will be upgraded to the Anthem Medicare Preferred PPO Plan (“Anthem Preferred PPO”) through Anthem Blue Cross.
The Anthem Preferred PPO plan provides several benefits our Medicare enrollees have been requesting, including coverage for vision exams and eyewear, hearing tests and hearing aids, and SilverSneakers health club benefits, that are not available under the current Indemnity Medical Plan.
In addition, the Anthem Preferred PPO plan will have lower out-of-pocket costs for many services, and some services will no longer be subject to a deductible.
Indemnity Medicare enrollees will transfer to the Anthem Preferred PPO plan. This affects Medical and Hospital coverage only. Prescription benefits will remain the same
